My project for the day

I was reading through some of my favorite blogs a few days ago and one of the ladies had made some of the cutest gifts for her son's birthday. She said she got the pattern for one item from etsy and I knew that it was something I could totally do too! If you don't know about etsy, click on the link and check it out. It's a great website where you can buy handmade items (or patterns for them, in this case). I've gotten some really nice things from there and you get them directly from the people who make them, so it's a cool way to connect with people from all over the world. Anyhow, this was my project for the day - kids' coloring wallets. They're easy and only take a short while to make. And thankfully, I was pretty pleased with my first attempts, as sometimes my sewing endeavors don't exactly turn out like I would hope! :) I'm definitely going to make more for gifts and just to have on hand. I think I prefer the heavier fabric I used on Abbey's. I couldn't find it in kid patterns though for William. I think he's pretty happy with Wall-E though!
